Gunmen Kidnap Lagos LG Worker, Shamsideen Omotayo

Unknown gunmen have kidnapped Shamsideen Omotayo, Clerk of the House, Ikeja Local Government Area, Lagos State.
He was taken around Imota area of Ikorodu in Lagos State where they reportedly laid ambush for the clerk on his way to the office in the morning Wednesday, August 2.
The Lagos State Police Command, through the Public Relations Officer, Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Olarinde Famous-Cole, confirmed the incident.
Famous-Cole however said details of the abduction were still sketchy.
Governor Akinwunmi Ambode was said to have tasked the police to rescue the victim as quickly as possible.
Kidnapping has become an everyday affair in Lagos with the police command not being as proactive as they should be over the crime the way they apply themselves when their are victims.
