The Nation Newspaper’s Lagos office has been set ablaze by hoodlums, bringing to about five, the number of media houses attacked since last Tuesday’s shooting of #ENDSARS protesters in Lekki area of Lagos. Other media houses attacked earlier included TVC, LTV 8 and MITV.

A member staff of the newspaper company confirmed the development to ArmadaNews.

The company, linked to a former governor of Lagos State and a chieftain of the ruling APC, Senator Bola Tinubu is located on Fatai Atere way, Mushin, Lagos.

“These hoodlums have set our office on fire now but LASEMA and police have come to our rescue”, said a staff member of the company.

The attack on the Nation Newspapers is coming hours after the Television Continental (TVC), also linked to Tinubu was set on fire by hoodlums.

ArmadaNews had exclusively reported that media houses and financial institutions might be targets of attacks by criminal elements that have hijacked the hitherto peaceful #EndSARS protests in the country.

The online newspaper quoted security sources to have hinted that more media houses might be attacked in the coming days in what appears like a reprisal attacks by faceless groups or sponsored unscrupulous elements.
