Members of the Ahiara Pillars, an elitist socio-cultural and political association in Ahiara Mbaise have joined several other groups and individuals in Imo State and beyond to felicitate with the Governor-elect, Emeka Ihedioha, on his recent victory in the governorship election held on March 9, 2019.
According to a statement signed by the National President of the association, Prince Iyke Nwaneche, Ihedioha’s victory was not only well-deserved but in the interest of Imo State and the indigenes.
The group said that the coming of Ihedioha as governor this time around is an indication of better things to happen in Imo State.
The association therefore urged all and sundry in Imo State to support Ihedioha’s administration when he fully assumes office on May 29, 2019.
Nwaneche wrote: “The patrons, executive and entire members of Ahiara Pillars heartily congratulate the Governor-elect of Imo State, Rt. Hon. Emeka Ihedioha, CON, on his well-deserved victory at the recently held governorship election of our beloved state.
“We recognize how keenly contested the Imo State governorship election on March 9 was, and your resounding victory based on the overwhelming support you received from Imolites across the three senatorial zones.
“Having monitored your political journey, we are confident that you have the requisite experience and competence as well as intellectual and mental capacity to turn around the fortunes of our state which is generally believed to have been largely run aground by the outgoing government.
“As a critical stakeholder in Imo State, Ahiara Pillars joins other well-meaning groups and individuals in Imo to pray for the success of your tenure and to wish you God’s protection and guidance as you pilot the ship of our beloved state to anchor where all Imolites will be proud to say they have a governor who is service-oriented.
“Please, be rest assured of our support in any area you deem necessary in the interest of our beloved state and for the success of your administration.”
