The board of the International Monetary Fund meets soon to take a decision on the fate of convicted IMF managing director , Christine Lagarde.
Lagarde was found guilty on Monday , December 19 by a French court of negligence in the payment of 285 million euros or $297 million to French business man , Bernard Tapie in 2008.
However , the court did not pronounce punishment immediately for Lagarde , and she had indicated interest in appealing the ruling.
Hours after the development, the IMF board showed interest in meeting to take a hard look at the Lagarde saga with a few to deciding whether to swim and sink with her or allow her carry her can.
Depending on the feeling of majority of the IMF board members with regard to the integrity of the world money lending body, Lagarde may be advised to step down.
