The serene city of Owerri, the Imo State capital, will burst at the seams tomorrow as the All Progressives Congress (APC) holds its grand flag off campaign for the reelection of Governor Hope Uzodimma.
Vice President, Alhaji Kashim Shettima, national chairman of APC, Alhaji Abdulahi Umar Ganduje and scores of governors and party stalwarts will be in attendance to offer support to Governor Uzodimma.
In a statement in Owerri, the state Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Hon Declan Emelumba described the rally scheduled to hold at the expansive Dan Anyiam Stadium , Owerri on Wednesday as the mother of all rallies.
According to Emelumba, in addition, the Vice President and Ganduje will lead all the members of the National Working Committee to the rally.
The Commissioner said the chairman of the national campaign council for the Imo governorship election, Gov Bassey Otu of Cross River State will lead other members to the event.
Emelumba announced that the entire state was ready for the visitors who would swarm the state for the flag off campaign.
He described Gov Hope Uzodimma as the candidate to beat in the election given his achievements in office and his antecedents as a man who has been at the forefront for the development of the state.
