Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo State may have seen reasons to throw open the race for the governorship as all interested aspirants are now at liberty to try their luck.
By this, Okorocha’s son in law, Uche Nwosu can no longer be said to be foisted on the All Progressive Congress (APC) in Imo.
Armadanews.com got it on good authority at the weekend that Okorocha has seen that the only way he could win the support of members of the APC in Imo is by discountenancing his earlier resolve to foist Nwosu who also happens to be his chief of staff on the state.
The implication is that all the governorship aspirants from all the zones in Imo are now free to square it up with Nwosu at the State Primary.
Sources said that Okorocha was counselled by some APC national leaders to allow everyone interested in the governorship race to try their luck not withstanding his interest in his son in law.
