Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo state is facing fresh trouble over his political career as his name is missing in the website of those who contested and won election to the National Assembly- Senate and House of Representatives.
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) had fixed Thursday, March 14 for the senator-elect and House of Representatives-elect to be given their certificates of return in Abuja.
But the name of Okorocha who claimed he won landslide in the Imo West (Orlu Zone) and brags as Senator-Elect under is conspicuously missing on the INEC website.
Only the name of the senatorial candidate of the PDP for Owerri Zone, Onyewuchi Ezenwa Francis ( Owerri East) was listed on the INEC website while the names of the candidates for the Imo West and Imo North were marked empty.
For Okorocha of Imo West his column was marked “Declaration under duress” while that of Imo North read “Supplementary”.
INEC said only those whose names are listed in their website will be given their certificate of return.
Okorocha’s desperation to win his senatorial seat and impose his son in-law, Uche Nwosu on Imo on the platform of the Action Alliance (AA) led to his suspension from the All Progressive Congress (APC) by the party leadership.
Okorocha also faces expulsion from the APC if the party is convinced of his numerous anti-party activities.
Nwosu, also an APC member before Okorocha dragged him to AA to get the governorship ticket is about to lose the election to the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, Emeka Ihedioha.
