Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Hakeem Odumosu has ordered a thorough investigating to unravel the cause of the death of eight children, whose bodies were found in an abandoned Sport Utility Vehicle (SUV) van in the Badagry area of Lagos State.
The state Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), CSP Adekunle Ajisebutu, confirmed this in a statement, noting that the bodies of the eight children were found locked in the vehicle parked on Adelayo Street in the Jah-Michael area of Badagry.
He said: “Their bodies have been recovered and deposited at the Badagry General Hospital’s morgue for an autopsy so as to determine the actual cause of death.
“Notwithstanding the report made to the Police, the Commissioner of Police, CP Hakeem Odumosu, has ordered a thorough and speedy investigation into the circumstances surrounding their death.”
The children, said to be between four and six years old, were reportedly found dead when one of the parent was looking for her child.
