Tunde Buraimoh, a lawmaker representing Kosofe Constituency 2 at the Lagos State House of Assembly is dead. He was aged 60.
Spokesperson to Kosofe Local Government Chairman, Taiwo Fadipe, said the lawmaker died after a brief illness.
However, sources at the Lagos State House of Assembly hinted that Buraimoh might have died of complications arising from COVID-19.
He was said to be a close confidant to Senator Adebayo Osinowo, a Senator representing Lagos East, who died last month of complications from the coronavirus.
But Fadipe said in the statement that Buraimoh “died at a hospital around Ikorodu road. He died overnight.”
The Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Lagos State, Tunde Balogun, who also confirmed the lawmaker’s demise, could not give details about his death.
Buraimoh, who was the spokesperson of the Lagos State House of Assembly, was reportedly absent from plenary sessions for about two weeks before his death.
