The deceased, identified as Timibra Meretighan was said to have been attacked by the suspect in the premises of Ijaw National High School, Arogbo while the students were writing their Junior Secondary School Certificate Examination.
According to police sources, the suspect ran into the school premises, claiming the students called him a madman.
The furiousky raging man reportedly pounced on the pupil and strangled him to death.
The school principal was said to have quickly reported the matter to the police in the area.
The Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) of Ondo State Police Command, Funmilayo Odunlami-Omisanya confirmed the incident to journalists on Friday, adding the suspect was promptly arrested and in the custody of the police.
The PPRO said that the suspect accused the students of calling him a madman.
