About 1000 traders were affected on Friday when fire razed a popular material market in Kaduna State, destroying goods worth millions of naira in the process.
The cause of the inferno was yet to be established at press time , but the market officials and the government are said to be collaborating to find out what caused it.
Deputy governor of Kaduna State, Bala Bantex who visited the scene of the inferno promised government’s intervention after receiving report of what could have transpired.

The distrust traders were spotted lamenting what had befallen them and seeking the support of government for help. ‘I have lost everything I have,” one of the traders lamented.
