Director Public Affairs of Nigerian Communications Commission, Nnamdi Nwokike is among other 11 senior staff of the body who will be retiring April 1, Armadanews.com has learnt.
Nwokike’s appointment is barely six months his predecessor Tony Ojobo, retired.
The NCC made the disclosure on Thursday at the special valedictory executive management session where their retirement was discussed.
“This afternoon, we began the send forth process for 12 amazing and wonderful management staff who will exit the Commission effective from April 1, 2019 when they will commence their terminal leave of absence,” Umar Garba Danbatta, the Executive Vice Chairman and Chief Executive of NCC explained.
Danbatta said the staff “will be leaving a vacuum difficult to fill,” and advised that in or out of service, they should still find ways of contributing to the Nigerian communities.
Several Executive Management staff amplified EVC’ voice and wished all the outgoing staff best wishes.
Nwokike, who responded on behalf of his fellow retirees, said that: “we are leaving the work in capable hands who will do better than how we met and left it.”
He lauded Danbatta, his colleagues and all staff of NCC for their best wishes.
