It may not uhuru yet for the opposition People’s Democratic Party as a new group which claims that the December 9 national convention of the party was fraudulent and schemed out most of them who are founding members.
Led by one Obi- Nwosu Emmanuel the group which operates from a secretariat at Asokoro area of the federal cspital territory told a news conference that the last convention was a product of few people who have hijacked the party.
Obi- Nwosu said the Unity List which was used during the convention spoke volume about how strangers have hijacked the PDP at the detriment of those who founded it.
Meanwhile, Uche Secondus, the newly elected PDP National Chairman countered the splinter PDP group saying those behind them will fail as usual.
He encouraged members of the party not to be carried away by the activities of the dissident members as the PDP of today is focused more than ever to resvue Nigrtians from the claws of bad leadership.
Secondus was supported by the governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose, who adjudged the splinter group as nothing but those out to frustrate the efforts of well meaning members to repodiyion the PDP.
