Nigerians are ready to cast their ballot on Saturday, February 16 in the presidential election.

Unesy calm has pervaded the city of Lagos, the state with millions of voters from different parts of Nigeria.

While many route for the incumbent President Muhammadu Buhari of the All Progressive Congress  others suppoet tjw candidate of the main opposition party, the People’s Democratic Party, Atiku Abubakar.

Lagos is unusually free from traffic, an indication that most of the residents are stàying indoors to weigh the options.

Others may have travelled out of town ro their villages to vote other candidates in the race for the national assembly.

Because the police declared Friday no vehicular movement between 6 am and 6 pm on Saturday, many people decided to travel on Friday, according to Femi Adeola who said he was travelling to vote in his state of Osun.

Lagosians are likely going to vote for the candidate who will deal with the issues of infrastructure.

Since Wednesday electricity has been an issue in Lagos as most parts of the state likw Ogba, Ikeja, Yaba were starves of electricity.

“I do not see myself boting for a party that has denied me light in the past three days. It will be a waste of vote if I should vast my ballot for APC,”said Goodluck Joan from Bayelsa.

Buhari on Thursday addressed Nigerians and urged them to choose a candidate of their choice.

Atiku said the same in one of his online video clips.

They signed a peace accord on Wednesday to commit themselves to the peaceful conduct of the election.

Saturday’s election is expected to bring about major upstages that will affect certain political heavyweights.

The likes of the Givernorw of Imo State, Rochas Okorocha, Ibikunle Amosun of Ogun State, Emmanuel Uduaghan of Delta state, Godswill Akpabio of Akwa Ibom State, Victor Nsoma Egba of Cross River state among others are candidates whose election the electorate are watching keenly.
