Nigeria’s Council of State confirms Mohammed Adamu As IGP

The Acting Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Adamu has been confirmed by the Council of State, as the new Inspector General of police.

 

Adamu was appointed in the acting capacity on January 15 when he took over from former IGP, Ibrahim Idris.

 

His confirmation was announced at the police council meeting on Thursday which was presided over by President Muhammadu Buhari.

 

His confirmation was less than six months.
