Nigeria, on Wednesday, recorded yet another power grid collapse, the 12th time in 2024 alone.
An unnamed official at the National Grid confirmed in a tweet via the official handle that the grid collapsed at about 2:09 pm on Wednesday.
“A major grid setback has occurred and the restoration is to commence,” the source said.
The Jos Electricity Distribution Company, also confirmed the development in a statement to its customers signed by it’s Head Corporate Communications, Jos Disco, Dr Friday Elijah told its customers.
The Disco however, explained that the grid collapsed occurred around 1: 33 PM today, resulting in the loss of electricity supply to its feeders.
“We hope to restore normal power supply to our esteemed customers as soon as the grid supply is restored back to normalcy”, the statement said.
