Vice Presidential candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Peter Obi was at the Computer Village, Ikeja on Wednesday to solicit the votes of the traders.

His message to the traders was simple:”I don’t have N10,000 Trader moni to give you. But vote Atiku and Peter Obi and our policies will make you fishers of men.”

The Vice Presidential candidate  reiterated his support for a pro-business administration.

He said his impromptu visit to markets in Lagos, was to understand first hand, what they go through.

Obi’s visit ended up becoming a carnival of some sort, as the traders in the markets closed their shops, shut down the streets, while chanting praises of the two term Governor of Anambra State.

He was welcomed in the most joyous of ways with jubilant crowd, chanting and singing songs with his name.

The traders struggled among themselves to catch a glimpse of the former governor of Anambra State who turned the state around in many ways.

The songs they sang suggested they have accepted Atiku/Obi candidacy.

Obi told them that Nigeria will work again under their watch and urged them not to waste their votes on February 16 but to vote for former president Atiku Abubakar who is the presidential candidate of the PDP, and himself as the running mate.

In Obi’s entourage was the governorship candidate of the PDP in Lagos, Jimi Agbaje.
