Nigeria midfielder John Ogu is focused on realising his ‘dream’ of playing in the group stages of the UEFA Champions League, Completesportsnigeria.com reports.
Ogu’s club Hapoel Be’er Sheva face Slovenian side Maribor in the first leg of the Champions League play-offs on Wednesday for a place in the group stages.
“Man used to be on d street watching UCL and after every game, we get into big argument till Midnight,” Ogu tweeted on Tuesday.
“Dream is to play in it and it starts tomorrow.”
Ogu has been one of Hapoel Be’er Sheva’s key players as they won the last two Israeli top flight titles, but they failed to reach the Champions League group stages last season.
Ogu’s compatriot Anthony Nwakaeme has also been instrumental in Hapoel Be’er Sheva’s recent achievements.
