The Okigwe Zone Youth Movement (OYM), has condemned in the strongest terms, the unprovoked and unwarranted attack on the residence of the Senator representing Imo North Senatorial District in the Red chambers of the National Assembly, Senator Patrick Ndubueze, by yet-to-be identified miscreants.
The group who spoke through its Publicty Secretary, Comr Ifeanyi Nduka, in Owerri, on Monday, expressed dismay over the growing political intolerance, and unprovoked gang-up by few displaced politicians who are aversed to the light which the representation of Senator Ndubueze has brought to Okigwe Zone in the last few months, while calling on security forces to ensure that the perpetrators of such heinous acts are fished-out, and brought to book.
He said that the attack on the residence of the Senator was an act of cowardice, and targeted at instigating fear on the peaceful residents of Okigwe LGA, and Okigwe Zone in general, which they failed to achieve.
He noted that the people of Okigwe Zone who unanimously elected Sen Ndubueze at the February 25 general elections last year, would continue to support him, in changing the ugly narrative of Okigwe Zone through his visible, effective and functional representation.
Comr Nduka commended Sen Ndubueze for showing capacity, prudence and sagacity since his election into office, and assured him of the group’s unwavering support, and loyalty.
