Onnoghen docked, pleads not guilty

Onnoghen in the dock

Suspended Nigerian Chief Justice Walter Onnoghen has been docked by the Code of Conduct Tribunal.

He was arraigned on a six count charge bordering on failure to declare his assets before the CCB appropriately which he pleaded not guilty to them.

Danladi Umar, the CCT Chairman listened to the argument from the prosecution and defence and grànted Onnoghen bail on self recognition.

He adjourned the matter to March 11 for hearing on the case on all pending applications.

Earlier an application was made by Onnoghen’s lawyers for the discharge of the bench warrant issued on him which Umar granted and discharged.
