Former governor of Abia state, Orji Uzor Kalu has won his election to the senate in Abia on the platform of the All Progressive Congress.
He beat the PDP candidate, Mao Ohuabunwa to clinch the position.
Kalu was governor grom 1999 to 2007 and has been facing corruption cases since he left office.
