National Chairman of the All Progressive Congress Adams Oshiomhole took a swipe at the Chairman of the Independent National Electoral commission on Saturday for postponing the elections saying his party is disappointed in him.
Oshiomhole differed with some speakers who commended Mahmood for the action he took saying that rather tgan commendation the INEC boss owe the country an apology for his action.
Oshiomhole said INEC owe Nigerians explanation for postponing the polls at 2 am on the day the first leg of the poll was to hold.
He said it was wrong for INEC to move the polls when it did when it had the opportunity to do so ealier based on the challenges he said necessitated the postponement.
Oshiomhole said Mahmood kept telling Nigerians INEC was ready foe election even on Friday, February 15. The APC chairman said the postponement came with a lot of costs to the political parties.
Godson Okoye, chairman of United Democratic Party said contrary to reports that materials has been deployed in the states the reverse is the case.
He said in Anambra most of the UDP members were yet to get ordinary tags to monitor the election.
Okoye said reports of non availability of INEC materials were thw talk of the town in Lagos State.
