Former Minister of Sports and Youth Development, and a chieftain of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Professor Taoheed Adedoja wants the court to nullify the recently held national convention.
Adedoja’s moves appears to be putting a spanner in the works of the opposition party that thinks all its problems with the court is over.
His grouse is that the PDP omitted his name on the ballot of those who contested for the
chairmanship slot along side others.
His lawyer, Ricky Tarfa, told reporters in Abuja on Monday that he has already filed a suit before a Federal High Court sitting in Abuja to among others, declare null and void, the election of the national chairman of the PDP on December 9, 2017.
Adedoja, who contested the chairmanship position with Prince Uche Secondus, Professor Tunde Adeniran and High Chief Raymond Dokpesi also told journalists in Abuja that the exclusion of his name on the ballot made it impossible for delegates to vote for him at the convention.
