The presidential candidate of the main opposition party Atiku Abubakar has accused the All Progressive Congress of engaging Chinese technology to manipulate the card readers meant for the election on Saturday.
Atiku said the target of the APC is the South East, South South and North Central zones where the card readers will not work properly.
Atiku spoke at the PDP National Executive Council meeting in Abuja where the party rejected President Muhammadu Buhari’s shoot at sight order to the army and police in the event of Nigerians found snatching ballot boxes.
The PDP National Chairman Uche Secondus asked Buhari to withdraw the undemocratic statement, remembering the President that there would always be Presidents after him the way there were before him.
Atiku warned the army to ignore Buhari and to realise that they have no role to play in a democracy as shown in the constitution of the country.
Atiku reminded the army to be conscious of the fact that the world is watching their actions in a democracy.
