The leadership of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has welcomef former Vice President Atiku Abubakar back to the party’s fold, saying he has seen he was wasting his time in the ruling All Progressive Congress ( APC) .
Atiku left the PDP about four years ago over issues he termed anti party and not in line with the original ideals of the founding members.
He was part of the PDP chieftains that worked sgainst the party and causing it to lose the 2015 presidential election to President Muhammadu Buhari.
After barely two years of the APC being in power, Atiku said the party has failed to live up to its promises to the Nigerian people with regard to creating jobs and making the economy strong and viable.
In welcoming Atiku back to its fold, the PDP said he should have realised before now that the APC has no plan for Nigerians.
The party assured Atiku that the new PDP is ready to salvage the country and encouraged him to join hands with other members to realise that dream.
