Governor Simon Lalong of Plateau State has been declared winner of the Saturday March 23 supplementary election.
Lalong polled 595,582 votes to beat his main rivalry of the People’s Democratic Party, Jeremiah Useni who got 546,817 votes.
With a margin of 48,769, Professor Richard Kinbir, the Independent National Electoral Commission Returning Officer pronounced Lalong winner on Sunday, declaring the incumbent Governor and candidate of the All Progressive Congress elected.
