Police apologise to Edwin Clark, arrest policemen for invading his home

The police authorities have apologised to elder statesman Edwin Clark over the invasion and search of his house on Tuesday by some policemen.

Clark had raised the alarm that his Abuja home was imvaded by some cops who proceeded to execute a search warrant.

Clark perceived  a foul play and queried the motive.

The police inspector General Ibrahim Idris had on Tuesday ordered the arrest of the policemen.

On Wednesday Jimoh Moshood, Force spokesman confirmed the arrest of an Assistant Superintendent of Police, and three police inspectors.

The ASP was said to be queried and the Inspectors undergoing orderly room trial.

Idris also apologised to Clark for the embarrassment.

He sent a delegation led by Deputy Inspector General of Police in charge of operations to Clark’s No 43 Hailie Seilesor street Asokoro Abuja to offer the apology.
