Police operatives attached to the Lagos State Police Command Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) have apprehended the bandits that robbed the family of the late MKO Abiola, the acclaimed winner of the 1993 presidential election.
Authoritative police sources hinted that the armed robbers invaded the Ikeja, Lagos residence of the late politician on Wednesday morning and carted away currencies of various denominations and other valuables.
The police sources said that the suspects, who gained entry into the premises through the fence, were consequently arrested and are currently detained at the SARS, where they are undergoing interrogations.
