Inspector General of Police Mohammed Adamu has called on Nigerians to go out and cast their ballot without fear of molestation.
Adamu said the police will protect all Nigerians during the election and advised voters not to entertain any fear.
However, the police boss warned those who may want to be used to foment trouble to be wary as the police will not spare them.
He spoke particularly concerning hoodlums and ballot snatchers and warned that they may not be allowed to get away with it.
Adamu advised parents to warn their wards against taking wrong actions that will be at conflict with the laws of the country during the elections.
