An interim investigation report commissioned by the Inspector General of Police Ibrahim Idris has been submitted to the acting President Yemi Osinbajo.

In the report submitted on Thursday and dated August 8 the police found the sacked DSS Director General Lawal Daura culpable of trespass, invasion and abridgement of the rights of the lawmakers  on Tuesday August 7.

The report was personally signed by the IGP, Idris and indicated Daura may have worked closely with some highly placed politicians to achieve the invasion.

The report put all the blames squarely at the door step of Daura whose men, the police report captured, confirmed they were at the NASS on the orders of their boss.

Daura was also found guilty of not sharimg information with either the Acting President or the DSS sister agencies on his claim that suspected persons were bringing dangerous weapons into the NASS premises to cause havoc.

Police report strongly doubted Daura’s claim of intelligence report at his disposal that necessitated the invasion and abuse of the rights of the lawmakers.

Idris said the report was for the kimd comsideration of the acting President Yemi Osinbajo and further advice.
