Ramaphosa dispatches envoys to African leaders, begs over xenophobic attacks

Cyril Ramaphosa, president of South Africa has dispatched special envoys from his country to some African countries’ leaders to beg for forgiveness over the xenophobic attacks meted to Africans in South Africa.

The envoys are to vusit Nigeria, Ghana, Cote d’Ivoire, Tanzania, Kenya among others to plead with their leaders and reassure them of South Africa’s preparedness to live happily with other African countries’ nationals.

Ramaphosa was booed in Harare, Zimbabwe during the funeral of Robert Mugabe in Saturday over xenophobic attacks on fellow Africans in South Africa.

Nigeria had evacuated more than 180 of her nationals in South Africa who suffered xenophobic attacks.

Ramaphosa wants his envoys to reassure his brother countries of his readiness to protect their nationals who are in South Africa and doing genuine businesses.
