Reverend Father Ejike Mbaka, the Spiritual Director of Adoration Ministries in Enugu, Nigeria has apologised to former governor Peter Obi over recent comments Mbaka made on the former Anambra state governor which is interpreted to be uncomplimentary.

Obi was at the Adoration Camp last week on invitation by Mbaka for a church bazaar and refused to announce a monetary donation publicly against the wish of Mbaka.

Mbaka told Obi that he is stingy and that he and Atiku Abubakar are going nowhere in their 2019 political ambition as running mate and presidential candidate respectively.

Obi had pleaded with Mbaka to allow him give whatever he intended to give in camera but Mbaka saw that an affront and descended on him in a manner many said was unfair.

Throughout the drama, Obi remained calm and that won to him the sympathy of many Nigerians.

Mbaka was called names for his actions with the Catholic Church leadership and its followers distancing themselves from the act.

Obi himself called for caution among those insulting Mbaka and calling him names, advising instead, they should pray for him.

But it appears Mbaka had realised his failings and has accordingly apologised to Obi.

Before an assembly of his members, Mbaka said: “I am really sorry and apoligise to the former Governor of Anambra State, Peter Obi for what happened.”

He also advised his members to focus more on Jesus Christ.
