Rivers State Caucus of the House of Representatives, comprising members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), have come to together to pursue agenda that is pro- Rivers regardless of their party affinity.
On Friday, the group led by Honourable Betty Apiafi paid a courtesy call on Governor Nyesom Ezenwo Wike, to felicitate with him on how well he has managed the affairs of the State, which has resulted in global commendations of his efforts.
This is the first time Representatives of Rivers State across partisan lines would come together to speak on the progress and interest of Rivers State.
During the meeting with the governor that had in attendance other senior government officials, they pledged to continue to work together for the best of Rivers State.
Wike commended them for their sense of maturity and unity of purpose, and urged them to continue to put the interest of the State above partisan sentiments and agenda.
The caucus headed by Hon Betty Apiafi has Hon O.K Chinda, Hon Gogo Bright, Hon Pronem Morris, Hon Elder Chidi Wihioka, Hon Jerome Eke, Hon Randolf Brown as members. Others are Hon Barinada Mpigi, Hon Awaji Ibiante, Hon Boma Goodhead, and Hon Uchechukwu Nnam Obi.
