Governor Nasir El- Rufai of Kaduna State has hinted that nothing will stop his administration from sacking the 22,000 teachers who did no do well at the recent competency test they took.
The governor was speaking when he addressed the Kaduna State House of Assembly.
El- Rufai reiterated that for the state to move forward in the area of education the teachers must impart the right knowledge on the pupils and students in both primary amand secondary schools.
Opinions have been divided over the test with Labour leaders and teachers body, the Nigerian Union of Teachers frowning on the test and calling on the governor to rescind the decision to sack the affected teachers.
