The Federal Government has declared Friday, September 1 and Monday, September 4 as Public Holidays to mark the Eid-el-Kabir celebration, popularly called Sallah Day.
Minister of Interior, retired Lt General Abdulrahman Dambazau (Rtd), did in a statement on behalf of the Federal Government on Monday, August 28 in Abuja.
Rufai Attahiru, who oversees the Office of the Permanent Secretary in the ministry signed the statement on his behalf.
Dambazzau urged Muslim faithful and all Nigerians to use the occasion to pray for peace, unity, prosperity and the stability of the country’s democracy.
