Senate President Bukola Saraki was in Ota on Monday to confer with former President Olusegun Obasanjo in what appears a consultative meeting over his ordeal and political future.
However, Saraki claimed he went to see Obasanjo’s library when reporters confronted him over his intention to visit Obasanjo.
Saraki has been having issues with leadership of the ruling All Progressive Congress government since he left the party recently to rejoin the opposition People’s Democratic Party.
Obasanjo has said President Muhammadu Buhari is incompetent and should not run again in 2019.
He has been knocked by Buhari supporters for making such comments.
Although Obasanjo has said he will not belong to any political party again he is believed to have sympathy for Saraki and Sule Lamido of Jigawa state.
Obasanjo said last week that God will not allow him to support the presidential ambition of his gormer deputy, Atiku Abubakar.
