In commemoration of the 3rd anniversary, CLEEN Foundation, in collaboration with the Innocent Chukwuemeka Chukwuma Empowerment Foundation (ICCEF), is delighted to announce the second annual memorial lecture, which will take place on Friday, 12th April 2024, in Abuja. The theme of this year’s lecture is “The Power of One: Dreams & Nightmares: Thoughts on Innocent Chukwuma“, to be delivered by the esteemed Bishop of Sokoto Catholic Diocese, His Lordship, Bishop Mathew Hassan Kukah. Bishop Kukah, in this lecture, will focus on the power of one man – Innocent Chukwuma – and how he made a difference, impacted his world and left an enduring legacy. The title of this second lecture underscores the significance of individual agency in shaping our collective future.

The lecture series is dedicated to the memory of Innocent Chukwuma, the human rights advocate, intellectual, and visionary leader who left an indelible mark on our society. His tireless efforts in the pursuit of social justice, good governance, gender equity, and empowerment of the marginalised continue to inspire generations. As we gather to commemorate his impactful life and legacy, we reflect on the power of one individual to effect positive change and touch the lives of so many people across the world.

The memorial lecture is open to the public, and we encourage all those who share in the vision of a more just and equitable society to join us in honouring the memory of Innocent Chukwuemeka Chukwuma and advancing his legacy.

CLEEN Foundation and ICCEF are excited to host this second edition memorial lecture with an inspiring theme. We are happy to partner with three financial institutions: GT Bank, Afrinvest, and Zenith Bank, which share the vision and mission of both CLEEN and ICCEF.

We believe that everyone has the potential to create positive change in their lives and communities, and we hope that this event will empower individuals, communities, and society at large to pursue their dreams and make an impact, just as Innocent did.
