Senate Committee grills IGP over Benue killings

The Senate Committee mandated by the leadership of the Upper Chambers of the National Assembly to grill the Inspector General of Police, Ibrahim Idris, in connection with the killings in Benue State has commenced its work.

The Senate panel, which headed by Senator Abu Ibrahim, is, however, grilling Idris behind closed doors.

Idris’ interrogation was said to have stared around 11 am with the police boss saying telling the lawmakers about efforts his team had made to restore normalcy in the state and other places where herdsmen have killed Nigerians.
