Ibikunle Amosun, the Ogun State governor will play host to his brother governors from the South West region on Monday when they converge at the state capiatl in Abeokuta to discuss issues of common interest in the Nigeria project.
The idea is to look at matters confronting the region and set goals towards dealing with them.
Ogun state commissioner for regional Integration, Adebola Adeifa said on dsunday, july 23 that the meeting comes under the auspices of Development Agenda for Western Nigeria (DAWN).
The meeting takes place at the MITROSgateway Annex, Ibara, Abeokuta, according to Adeifa.
“The meeting will address the challenges confronting the region and set goals towards ensuring it becomes a force to be reckoned with in the nation,” a statement to that beffect said.
Those expected at the meeting are Ayodele Fayose (Ekiti), Akinwunmi Ambode (Lagos), Rotimi Akeredolu (Ondo), Rauf Aregbesola (Osun), Abiola Ajimobi (Oyo) and the host governor, Amosun.
Though DAWN is the agenda, there are indications that recent issues of national concern like restructuring, 2019 election are part of the matters the governors will like to take a decision on.
