Shareholders in United Bank for Africa (UBA)Plc are to be paid 20 kobo dividend, courtesy of impressive half-year earnings.
The bank on Thursday, August 24 released its audited consolidated and separate financial statements for the half- year (H1) ended June 30, 2017.
The group reported gross earnings of N222.718billion from N165.580billion it earned in H1 2016. Net interest income (NII) increased to N101.37billion in H1 2017 from N64.132billion in same period of 2016.
Profit Before Tax (PBT) grew to N57.53billion from first-half 2016 level of N34.756billion. Profit After Tax stood higher at N42.33billion from N27.10billion in first-half of 2016.
