A Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), in Ahaizu Mbaise LGA, Engr Bede Opara, has commended the ongoing urban renewal projects embarked upon by the shared prosperity government of Governor Hope Uzodimma in the state.
Opara who bared his mind in a telephone interview, Saturday, disclosed that the urban renewal policy of the state government will go a long way to restoring the original master plan of Owerri and its environ.
He noted that Governor Hope Uzodimma has so far shown capacity in governance through his youth friendly policies, adding that soon, every Imolite will come to terms with the fact that the present government has the interest of the masses at heart.
Opara who specifically thanked Governor Uzodimma for constructing tunnels that will regulate flooding in the state, stressed that the ongoing installation of modern traffic control system will go a long way to improve on the traffic movements in the state.
He enjoined the governor not to lose hope but to remain steadfast in his determination to change the face of governance in the state, even as he expressed optimism that development will get to every part of the state.
On the choice of Governor Uzodimma as Chairman, Anambra State Governorship election, the former Ahaizu Mbaise LGA APC Chairman, commended the national leadership of the party for opting Governor Uzodimma as the Chairman of the campaign council for the said election, adding that his choice for the victorious job was welcoming and splendid.
