Governor Hope Uzodimma of Imo State has expressed his sincere felicitation with the duo of Kelechi Madu and Akinwunmi Adesina, two Nigerians who today are being celebrated globally for uncommon feats.
While Kelechi Madu has been appointed Minister of Justice and Solicitor-General of Alberta, Canada, Akinwunmi Adesina just got reelected as the President of the African Development Bank (AfDB) for another five year term.
Governor Uzodimma said “their appointments point to their rich Nigeria pedigree in learning and character, and speaks eloquently of their steadfastness and emulatable virtues that can only be associated with Nigerians,” in a statement by Oguwike Nwachuku, his Chief Press Secretary/Media Adviser.
The governor said while he is proud of both Madu and Adesina, he is particularly excited that the former is an Imo son, and that he has become an ambassador who, many would want to look up to in their career pursuit.
Governor Uzodimma therefore charged both Madu and Adesina to continue to make Nigeria proud through service to humanity, knowing full well it is a virtue that is priceless.
While wishing them well in their new assignments, he also urged them to always remember who they are and where they come from regardless of where they are plying their trade.
