Governorship candidate of All Progressives Congress (APC) in Imo State for the Saturday, March 9 election, Hope Uzodinma, has said the election that produced Emeka Ihedioha, candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), was fraught with irregularities.
He has also indicated that he would be heading for the court to challenge the outcome of the poll.
Uzodinma has therefore denied felicitating with Ihedioha in a video where was sharing jokes with Ihedioha which went viral on social media.
Speaking with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Wednesday Uzodinma whose ambition was kicked against by Imo State Governor, Rochas Okorocha, because of support for his son-in-law, Uche Nwosu, who ran on the ticket of the Action Alliance (AA), said many things werev wrong with the governorship contest. But he did not specify what went wrong.
On the trending video, Uzodinma said it was recorded at a different occasion long before the election.
He also called on his supporters to disregard the report, saying it was the handiwork of mischief makers who like to peddle lies against him.
He said the election that produced Ihedioha as winner was fraught with irregularities, and promised to challenge the results of the election in court.
Uzodinma is yet to congratulate Ihedioha when many of the other contestants had.
