The West African Examination Council (WAEC) has released its timetable for the 2020 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE).
This was contained in a release Tuesday, signed by its Head of Public Affairs, Demianus Ojijeogu, who urged candidates to disregard several versions of the examination timetable that have been in circulation, as they did not emanate from the Council.
According to the statement, the WASSCE scheduled to begin on August 17, 2020, will end on September 12, 2020.
The Council wished all candidates success in the examination and appealed to them to abide by the rules and regulations guiding the conduct of the examination and shun all acts of malpractices.
The body also advised candidates to obey all COVID-19 protocols put in place at the various examination centres.
Minister of State Education, Mr. Chukwuemeka Nwajiuba, said recently that WASSCE subjects peculiar to Nigeria candidates will be taken from September 5 through September 14, 2020, while exams for subjects for all English speaking West Africa countries, (Nigeria, Ghana, Sierra Leone, The Gambia, and Liberia) will take place on August 17 as previously announced.
