Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo State has given reasons why those holding political offices, including himself steal, saying it is not possible for political office holders, including governors not to steal from the public treasury because their salaries are meager.
Okorocha is of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) which has zero- tolerance for corruption in public office.
President Muhammadu Buhari views corruption seriously and has never hidden his intention to fight against it.
But in an interview with Channels TV, on his scorecard in the past three years as governor, Okorocha suggested that stopping political office holders from finding ways and means of meeting their financial commitment would amount to mission imposible, particularly if such politicians do not have a second address.
He also concluded that everyone in Nigeria is corrupt to a certain degree.
