Governor Akinwunmi Ambode of Lagos State has said that workers in Lagos have cooperated with his administration in the interest of all.
He said the workers have also shown resilience and pledged that his administration will continue to reciprocate their industry and support.
Ambode was speaking on Tuesday in his goodwill message to workers to mark the Worker’s Day.
Workers all over the world celebrated the day.
It was on day the Senate President Bukola Saraki assured workers that under his watch their welfare will be improved.
During the ocassion, the Nigeria Labour Congress warned the government against disregarding their request for new salary structure.
President Muhammadu Buhari who was represented by his deputy, Yemi Osinbajo promised that government will facilitate the process of demand for new wage by ensuring that an executive bill is sent to ghe National Assembly for action.
House of Representatives Speaker Yakubu Dogara pledged speedy consideration of the workers new wage bill any time it gets to the House.
