Argentina on Tuesday confirmed its superiority over Nigeria in football as the country defeated Nigeria again in the Group D category of the ongoing FIFA World Cup in Russia with a 2-1.
Lionel Messi opened scores for Argentina in the first half but Victor Moses scored a penalty kick awarded against Argentina making the two countries to end the first half in 1-1 goal draw.
But the second half was not business as usual as Argentina fought Nigeria on all fonts, putting pressure on Nigeria’s defence that made the players to resort to playing more of defence football.
Argentina scored their second goal when the match was remaining about 6 minutes to the end of the full time thereby sealing the fate of the Super Eagles for a place in the Group of 16.
With the defeat, Nigeria has crashed out of the tournament having just three points in their group.
